Here come the girls

That was the name of one of the Ladcups teams which took part in yesterdays action but unluckily lost in the final of the evening. It was the only "Girls only" team taking part. The winner of the evening was "The Tradesman" and they played really quite well. The best looking team was this, and obviously Sid Wadell was quite taken with them.

But of course there are some more girls around though the dance group is missing at the moment. But these two ladies are around every evening.
In the press tent a lot of pictures are taken with them in their different outfits, some times alone, sometimes with Sid Wadell, sometimes with Dave Clark, the Sky commentator, sometimes with the lady who is responsible for the mask and who originally come from Norway and one time even with me though I decided to show the picture I took of them alone as I hadn't visited the mask. They dont's always look so sexy.

Yesterday evening they were walking around with curlers in their hair and usually they wear wellington boots in the press tent no highheels.

What's their name? Well that's very easy this year - they not only look rather similar they even both wear the same name: Jess and Jess.

Other news are that the weather didn't change much. There was no more snow but flights and trains still are chaotic. From Heathrow only some long way flights do start all the short way flights are cancelled at the moment. So I will pass another evening in the press tent, the hotel could offer me a room, and hope I'll be able to catch a train tomorrow to Birmingham. Birmingham hasn't cancelled flights yet.

Due to this I had not much time yesterday to watch the action - first I tried to find a flight and then I for some time talked to Preston Ridd who takes part in the World Championship for New Zealand this year.
It was not really an interview as Preston Ridd is in fact already a retired darts player. But it was very interesting and you'll hear more about it.

The German player Jyhan Artut a little bit unlucky lost to Denis Ovens after he had won quite a good Preliminary Round match against Scott Mackenzie.
He never appeared in the press tent so I didn't manage to talk to him. But Denis Ovens turned up. He's got the flue and only wanted to go back to bed to recover for his match against Simon Whitlock. I hope he managed to get back home!
